Filmed at Nashville’s East Ivy Mansion, Kozak penned “Little Bit of You” with Tofer Brown and Claire Douglas. Both the bubbly tune and “Phases” – recently spotlighted as one of Rolling Stone’s “10 Best Country and Americana Songs to Hear Now” – are featured on her independent Heartbreak School – EP, available now at all digital retailers and streaming platforms.

On Saturday (10/26), the recent Belmont University graduate will make her Grand Ole Opry debut with a bucket list performance of “First Last Name,” her breakout track released via Songs & Daughters. She’ll then follow the momentous appearance with a high-profile acoustic round at Live In The Vineyard in Napa Valley, CA, on November 1. Continuing the road momentum, Kozak will join Morgan Evans, Aaron Watson, and Mason Ramsey on tour this fall.

MADISON KOZAK IS OVER “PHASES” IN NEW VIDEO

Songs & Daughters artist Madison Kozak is over the “Phases” of a noncommittal crush who she likens to moon phases: “I only get you in phases / You're somewhere out there in space and / You show up just to start fadin' / In and out, you hang around, disappear then come back / I wanna love all of you baby / But I only get you in phases.”

Directed by Justin Clough, Kozak filmed at Nashville’s beautiful East Ivy Mansion. The from-the-heart lyrics dance like the couple’s silhouettes in the clip, as the songstress penned the track with Casey Brown and Parker Welling. Featured on her independent Heartbreak School – EP, “Phases” is available at all digital retailers & streaming partners.

SAVE THE DATE: MADISON KOZAK MAKES GRAND OLE OPRY DEBUT ON OCTOBER 26

Songs & Daughters recording artist and recent Belmont University graduate, Madison Kozak, is making her anticipated debut at the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday, October 26. This past summer, she was surprised with the bucket list invitation onstage at the iconic venue by mentor and label president, Nicolle Galyon.

“When I think about everything I know and love about Country music, it all circles back to the Grand Ole Opry,” shares Kozak. “Being asked to take the stage where so many of my heroes have made history is the ultimate honor. This is the dream that started the journey for me, and I’m beyond excited and grateful for the opportunity.”

The gifted singer-songwriter has already stockpiled an arsenal of tunes she’s penned alongside Nashville’s most sought-after songwriters, including Lori McKenna and Craig Wiseman, with her first Songs & Daughters release, “First Last Name,” out now. Written by Kozak, Claire Douglas, and James Slater, it’s “sharp, swooning, and all the right kinds of sentimental,” praises Rolling Stone.

Next Monday (10/21), Kozak will perform during a special pop-up event at Nashville’s ABLE store in partnership with CMT and hosted by Songs & Daughters. Promising can’t-miss new material from the 22-year-old budding star, additional details for the free event can be found here.

Taking her talents on the road, she’ll support MORGAN EVANS (WORLD TOUR), AARON WATSON(RED BANDANA TOUR – FALL 2019), and MASON RAMSEY (HOW’S UR GIRL & HOW’S UR FAMILY PT. 2) this fall. MADISON KOZAK DEBUTS WITH "FIRST LAST NAME"

Gifted singer/songwriter MADISON KOZAK’s highly anticipated song “First Last Name” is available now, following the headline-grabbing announcement of her signing as the flagship artist to Songs & Daughters. The newly minted female-focused label is an unprecedented partnership between Big Loud Records and award-winning songwriter Nicolle Galyon, providing female creatives a platform to tell honest stories about real life while shining a spotlight on a new generation.

Bringing today’s release full circle, “First Last Name” is the song that changed everything for Kozak — from landing her a publishing deal with Big Loud during her Junior year at Belmont University, to catching the attention of Galyon at a performance last fall. After hearing the song, Galyon was inspired to establish Songs & Daughters alongside Big Loud partner Seth England, both confident that Kozak and “First Last Name” were the perfect introduction for the exciting new venture. Read more about Songs & Daughters in Billboard’s exclusive interview here.

Co-penned by Kozak with Claire Douglas and James Slater, “First Last Name” showcases Kozak’s gentle twang and vivid, detailed storytelling. Growing up the seventh child in a family of eight siblings in rural Ontario, Canada, her inspiration for the song stems from her close relationship with her father, who instilled her love of Country music and introduced her to the greats — Loretta Lynn (Kozak’s first concert), Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash. The two would load up a 1973 convertible Eldorado Cadillac, and head out every weekend to the nearest county fair, festival, retirement home, or church — anywhere they could get in to play country music.

“I started playing these vignettes in my head from when I was younger, like a home movie of different times when we would hop in the car and drive four hours to go play a 20-minute set with a band we'd never met, singing the Dixie Chicks at the top of our lungs in that Cadillac, or him coming to my dance competition,” says Kozak. “I walked into the writing room and said to James and Claire, ‘I want to write a song about my dad.’”

With a bright path ahead, Kozak continues to build an arsenal of impactful, honest songs written alongside esteemed songwriters such as Lori McKenna and Craig Wiseman. Already taking the stage in front of audiences of up to 12,000 people at fairs and festivals, she’s since shared the bill with Keith Urban at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.
